Bruce A. Mast, MD, FACS, associate dean of regional programs and chief of the division of plastic and reconstructive surgery, has been appointed to the Aesthetic Surgery Journal‘s editorial board as a clinical editor.
“It is an honor to be on the editorial board of the Aesthetic Surgery Journal, the leading medical and scientific journal with a primary focus on aesthetic surgery,” Mast said. “As an acting member of the board, I’m excited to be able to directly impact on patient care and safety by providing an objective, evidence-based foundation for patient care.”
The Aesthetic Surgery Journal is a peer-reviewed and internationally indexed journal with a total qualified circulation of more than 12,600. It is published 12 times per year. The journal is ranked No. 1 among all aesthetic plastic surgery journals and No. 2 among all plastic surgery journals. It has an impact factor of 4.283 ranking it 37 of 212 journals in Surgery.
As a member of the editorial board, Mast will serve the Aesthetic Surgery Journal for a three-year term and play a crucial role in the journal’s strategy and development.
Mast specializes in cosmetic surgical procedures, breast reconstruction and reduction, and skin cancer. He is board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. In addition to his clinical duties, Mast serves in a variety of leadership roles in regional and national plastic surgery organizations. He has lectured nationally and internationally on the topics of aesthetic surgery and breast surgery.
