Pediatric Surgery

UF Health pediatric surgeons are board-certified in pediatric surgery, which gives you a team that is specially trained to perform minor and complicated surgeries specifically on babies, children and teens. Our team works together with faculty and staff from UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital, recently ranked among the nation’s best in four specialties by U.S. News & World Report.

We also work closely with teams from other UF departments and centers including the UF department of pediatrics, the UF Health Congenital Heart Center, the UF Health Craniofacial Center and other divisions within UF’s department of surgery to provide thorough, top-notch care for pediatric patients.

From the child-friendly environment of the UF Health Children’s Surgical Center, specially designed and equipped for pediatric patients, our surgeons treat patients suffering from pediatric hernias and hydroceles, undescended testicles, perform circumcision in non-newborns, congenital abnormalities and birth defects, critical illnesses, trauma, burns and cancerous and non-cancerous conditions of the gastrointestinal system, chest, genitals, breast, endocrine system, head and neck and much more.
