Dr. Ruiz is a plastic and reconstructive surgeon specializing in aesthetic surgery, breast reconstruction, and hand and facial trauma reconstruction.

Originally from Caracas, Venezuela, Dr. Ruiz is a board-certified general surgeon and a board-eligible plastic and reconstructive surgeon. He earned his medical degree from the Universidad Central de Venezuela—proudly known as “The House That Defeats the Shadows”—an institution with more than 300 years of academic tradition.

After completing his general surgery residency in Miami, Dr. Ruiz pursued advanced training in plastic and reconstructive surgery at UTHealth Houston, where he completed a highly competitive fellowship. Recognized for his surgical expertise, compassionate approach, and commitment to excellence, Dr. Ruiz is dedicated to providing exceptional care tailored to each patient’s reconstructive and aesthetic goals.
