What were you looking for in a residency program?

Diverse faculty with a large breadth of clinical practice. Opportunity for exposure to broad range of surgical specialties, high acuity care, and complex patient pathology.

What are the strengths of the UF program?

Large regional referral center with large volume of complex surgical patients. Strong collaboration among surgical specialties. Large volume of approachable faculty that are invested in resident education.

What do you like best about living in Gainesville?

Small town feel with the opportunities and events of a larger city. Numerous sporting and cultural events here due to the university. Very diverse offerings that cater to all types of individuals, ranging from college students to families. The city continues to grow and develop, with new businesses and opportunities arriving all the time. It is a culinary hotspot, often the jumping point for a lot of growing restaurants due to its unique demographic.

List of hobbies/interests: Spending time with my wife and children, distance running, grilling, eating, surfing, SCUBA diving
