About Matheus Falasa

What I sought in a residency program: a high-powered academic tertiary care center which would prepare me to take care of the most complex patients, and also enable me to achieve my career goals.

Why UF General Surgery: meets the above criteria with a supportive, positive, collaborative culture.

Career interests: Cardiothoracic Surgery

Why I love Gainesville: Excellent quality of life. There are a lot of things to do around here year round which fit with my hobbies.

Hobbies: alligator hunting, powerlifting, spearfishing/freediving, boating, deer/boar/duck hunting, tinkering (boats, motorcycles, cars), home renovation, and landscaping.
