Thomas M. Beaver, M.D., M.P.H., professor and chief of the division of cardiovascular surgery, has been appointed to the editorial board of the Journal of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery.
“We have benefited greatly from your commitment and expertise and we look forward to your continued contributions,” said Richard D. Weisel, editor of the journal.
This comes as a result of Beaver’s hard work and dedication as a reviewer, Weisel said.
Beaver has devoted his career to making surgery safer and easier for patients through minimally invasive techniques and improved perioperative management. He specializes in minimally invasive surgery for atrial fibrillation, aortic and mitral valves—including transcatheter valves and stent grafts for thoracic aortic surgery.
