Tera Thigpin recognized by Superior Accomplishment Award

The exceptional work executed in 2020 was full of accomplishments carried out despite unprecedented challenges. The achievements made by the faculty and staff were integral in accomplishing the institution’s tripartite mission of education, research and patient care.

Tera Thigpin, a department of surgery research coordinator, was recognized as a faculty member who inspired other team members as they worked together toward achieving institutional and professional goals. Thigpin’s contributions and above-and-beyond attitude are just some of the characteristics that named her to the Superior Accomplishment Award in the Administrative/Supervisory category.

She, and others throughout the College of Medicine, were recognized for their demonstrations of commitment, innovation and creativity as well as meritorious service.

Thigpin and other division-level winners will receive cash awards in addition to being considered for university-level awards. An invitation to the virtual ceremony will follow in the near future.
