Camille Apple, M.D., and Sara Hensley, M.D., from the UF Department of Surgery were both award recipients at the Florida Committee on Trauma Annual Business Meeting 2019, which took place on March 29 at the Orlando Regional Medical Center. Dr. Apple received an award for her basic science abstract “Expression of Regulatory MicroRNAs in Persistent Injury-Associated Anemia”, and Dr. Hensley received an award for her case study “Main Portal Vein Injury After Gunshot Would to Left Chest: A Case Report.” Congratulations to both!
