The UF Health Department of Surgery is proud to announce its incredible, successful representation at the Southern Association for Vascular Surgery 43rd Annual Meeting on Jan. 23-26 in Boca Raton, Florida. With more than 500 members in 13 states, SAVS is a prestigious surgical organization that promotes the art and science of vascular surgery.
We are proud to announce that Gilbert Upchurch, Jr., M.D., has been elected as the 2019 president of SAVS, and Martin Back, M.D., M.S., R.V.P., has been elected as the head of the post graduate course. Congratulations!
Additionally, Sarah Gray, M.D., received the award for best poster for research on Safety and Efficacy of Hybrid Thoracic Endovascular Aortic Repair for Management Aberrant Subclavian Artery Complications. Dr. Gray also was the recipient of the SAVS Scholarship. Congratulations, Dr. Gray!
