Loretta Coady-Fariborzian, MD, elected as chair of the Plastic Surgery Surgical Advisory Board

Loretta Coady-Fariborzian, MD, Assistant Professor, Division of Plastic and Reconstructive SurgeryLoretta Coady-Fariborzian, MD, associate professor in the division of plastic and reconstructive surgery at the UF College of Medicine, has been elected by the Veterans Affairs National Surgery Office as the chair of the Plastic Surgery Surgical Advisory Board. This position serves a single term of three years and must be filled by a full-time VA employee, appropriately credentialed in the surgical specialty and actively engaged in clinical practice at a VA facility. The chair is responsible for conducting regular meetings with board members and attending established meetings as requested by the National Director of Surgery. The duties and responsibilities of the board includes providing readily available subject matter expertise to the National Surgery Office and Veterans Health Administration leadership, performing site visits of surgical programs within their subspecialty and participating in established meetings and conferences.
