Dr. David Mozingo, a professor of surgery and anesthesiology at the UF College of Medicine, has been appointed Interim Trauma Medical Director for Shands at UF’s Level I Trauma Center. He also currently serves as interim chief of the division of acute care surgery in the UF Department of Surgery. Dr. Mozingo, who is nationally recognized for his expertise in burn care, has served as director of the Shands Burn Center at the University of Florida since 1996. He also is a member of many national burn and trauma committees, a leader in burn research.
