UF surgical oncologist inducted into Southern Surgical Association

Steven N. Hochwald, M.D., an associate professor of surgery and chief of the Division of Surgical Oncology at the UF College of Medicine, has been elected into the Southern Surgical Association.

Hochwald was one of 24 surgeons elected into the association during its 121st annual meeting held this month in Hot Springs, Va.

The second oldest surgical society in the nation, the Southern Surgical Association focuses on furthering the study and practice of surgery, especially among the profession in the Southern states.
